Just built a new computer for making art. (Old system had numerous hardware issues and has consequently been demoted to HTPC status).  

Processor: intel i7 2600K
MoBo: MSI GD-65 Z68
RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance
System Drive: OCZ Vertex 3
Storage Drive: 2x WD 2TB greens in a RAID1
Video: Sapphire 6950 2GB

Yeah, it's really overkill for what I need, but it should last a while. Now I just have to hope that life in general calms down enough that I have some time to get back to being an artist.

Hanging around here; kinda. I don't visit or update nearly as often as I ought to (obviously since you sent this in September originally and I finally log on and see it now that it's almost December). I still actually do quite a bit of real artwork, I just never finish any of it to the point where I'm comfortable presenting it to other people. Of course, I need to get past my excuses and put all that cursed self-doubt to rest. I'll check out the webkaumix soon and send ya some feedback.

I just finished reading Chuck's latest; Rant. Rant is more of an experiment in written form, and as such, really lacks the polish that Choke had.

A good read, but Choke is the better book.
